budgeting for furniture procurement

Below are a few questions you may have when it comes to budgeting for a furniture procurement project.

When working with an Interior Designer for furniture procurement, there are two phases of budgeting to consider: Phase 1 is the portion of your budget that will cover our design services where we design your furniture package. We will give you estimated hours for this phase, to be billed at our hourly rate.

Phase 2 is the portion of your budget will cover the costs of furniture, artwork, etc. These costs will have an Interior Designer markup built in which cover administrative fees associated with procurement. Additional fees during this Phase will include shipping, warehousing, delivery, installation, and coordination of other trades installations.

What should be included in my budget?

The brands that we source from vary in price points, however we can approximate the budget ranges as outlined below:

  • Two-Bedroom Home: Starting at $40k

  • Three-Bedroom Home: Starting at $70k

  • Four-Bedroom Home: Starting at $100k

These numbers can vary depending on the square footage of the home and your stylistic preferences.

How much will it cost to furnish my whole home?

With furniture procurement and installation, we try to account for any costs that may be incurred ahead of time however, on some occasions additional costs may arise. This can be additional charges for installation time, charges for warehousing longer than planned, etc. We try to anticipate additional costs and communicate those with you as they arise, however there can be unexpected scenarios.

Are there any additional costs I should plan for?
