THE STEAM PLANT AT WESTERN STATE HOSPITAL IN STAUNTON, VA

Studio Mas Creative reimagined the abandoned steam plant building at the Western State Hospital in Staunton, Virginia as a vibrant, mid-century inspired multifamily building equipped with a full lobby, business center, meeting and lounge spaces, and a gym. Circular and industrial motifs throughout the design pays homage to the building’s history and architectural features such as a large smokestack.
