United States Coast Guard Gym | Portsmouth, VA

The United States Coast Guard aimed to transform their run-of-the-mill gymnasium into an elevated gathering space for ceremonies, while simultaneously reducing sound reverberation. Studio Mas Creative created custom graphics that would be wrapped on wall mounted acoustical panels in varying sizes. The designers created a layout that naturally drew your eyes around the gymnasium, while strategically avoiding an abundance of exposed conduit and piping. Showcasing the Coast Guard’s duties and missions, the space instills a sense of pride and camaraderie for all who enter.
